ความรับผิดชอบ ลักษณะงาน Under general leadership, the Powertrain Design Engineer will work with engine and powertrain component engineers, designers, builders and suppliers in Europe, the US and Asia. You will research new products and designs to upgrade the engine, transmission and differentials in these cars. You will source and manage any CNC, casting or similar requirements for upgrading all engine components. This role researches and evaluates products, parts, or processes for cost efficiency and reliability and coordinates with other engineering staff to drive projects to completion. Although primarily a design engineering role, the emphasis is on a project engineering approach to driving projects to completion. This role is expected to impart to coworkers a working knowledge of the automotive industry by working side-by-side with and within our talented teams in a cross-functional manner. ● Manage the scope of work and communication with European and US powertrain designers and build partners. Create or update CAD design models for parts using software such as SolidWorks and/or Catia V5 for updating 1990 to 2010 model european sports cars ● Researches, plans, designs, and develops mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, engines, machines, and mechanical systems for prototype and production purposes, quality system development, and data collection and analytics ● Sources and manages any CNC needs for engine components, as well as any casting of engine blocks based on designs from US or EU partners. ● Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems ● Develops testing processes, and perform testing and validation of powertrain elements. Including setting up engine testing facilities, dyno capabilities ● Creates working prototypes with engineering and component partners ● Collaborates with Design and Production Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality and Production teams ● Interacts (technically) with suppliers and contractors where required ● Performs detailed documentation to track project development and design process ● Ensures project timeline is met and projects remain within budget ● Creates product introduction materials; work instructions, exploded view parts manuals etc. ● Performs all other duties as assigned
คุณสมบัติ ● Thai national only. • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering with automotive, mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering emphasis • Minimum of 5 years of powertrain design or manufacturing management and mechanical design & drafting experience using CAD software such as Solidworks, Catia, or equivalent Preferred Education/Experience and/or Certifications • Master’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering with automotive, mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering emphasis • Automotive / Motorsport experience strongly preferred • Ability with 3D printing and scanning technologies strongly desired Skills/Abilities and Attributes • Ability to create 2D drawings and 3D models of advanced mechanical components and assemblies • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, especially the ability to synthesize large amounts of data involving multiple variables into comprehensive, actionable insights • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill sophisticated subjects to a wider audience • Team oriented, strong ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment and to multiple deadlines
